SPP 100+ Annual Meeting in Dresden and the SMAR26 Conference
From 24 to 28 August 2026, Dresden was the focus of scientific exchange on innovative methods of structural monitoring and assessment. During this week, the annual meeting of the SPP 100+ programme and the 8th International Conference on Smart Monitoring, Assessment and Rehabilitation of Civil Structures (SMAR26) took place at TU Dresden.
On Monday and Tuesday, the researchers involved in SPP 100+ came together for their annual meeting. The focus was on the presentation and discussion of current research findings from the various sub-projects, as well as a professional exchange on common research questions and future research prospects.
From Wednesday onwards, the scientific exchange continued as part of the international SMAR26 conference. The I4S was represented by Prof. Armin Lenzen and Max Moeller. With their paper ‘Applied Structural Health Monitoring Utilising State Projection Estimation Error (SP2E)’, they presented the Institute’s latest research findings, thereby contributing to the conference’s scientific programme. The paper will be published in the conference proceedings and will also be available on the I4S website under the ‘Publications’ section once it has been published.
